Hans Hübl appointed Adjunct Professor at TUM

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) has appointed MQV member Dr. habil. Hans Hübl as Adjunct Professor in recognition of his outstanding achievements in research and teaching in the field of quantum science and technology.

Hans Hübl has been a research group leader at the Walther Meißner Institute (WMI) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences (BAdW) since 2009 and a private lecturer at TUM since 2014. As a member of the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) cluster of excellence and Munich Quantum Valley (MQV), he makes important contributions to the successful research and teaching program in the field of quantum science and technology. Among other things, he recently helped establish the highly successful new interdisciplinary master's program in “Quantum Science and Technology,” which is offered jointly by TUM and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Hübl's research focuses on the one hand on spin dynamics and quantum magnonics, and on the other on hybrid quantum systems. He has contributed to both fields with fundamental publications and pioneering work.

The appointment as Adjunct Professor at TUM particularly recognizes Hübl's outstanding contributions in his research field and his many years of convincing achievements in teaching. TUM recognizes his excellent research achievements, in particular with regard to the quantity, quality and impact of his research, and his high scientific standing in the discipline compared to his peers.

Munich Quantum Valley warmly congratulates Hans Hübl on his appointment as Adjunct Professor.
