Postdoc (f/m/d) for the working group of Prof. Dr. Steffen Glaser, Department of Chemistry ‘Design and Optimization of Quantum Gates for Quantum Information Processing’.
The research group of Prof. Dr. Steffen Glaser is looking for a Postdoc at the earliest possible date to work on the research project ‘Development of optimal control sequences for the precise and robust realization of quantum operations in the quantum computing platforms (based on superconducting qubits or ultracold atoms) of the Munich Quantum Valley’.
Your area of work in the project consists of research in quantum technology, quantum computing, optimal control of quantum systems with the aim of developing and providing highly accurate and robust quantum gates as essential building blocks for the construction of scalable quantum computers. This challenging project involves close collaboration with experimental groups within Munich Quantum Valley working on the construction of quantum computers based on superconducting quantum bits or ultracold trapped atoms. The project is part of Munich Quantum Valley and the Munich Center for Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST, www.mcqst.de) and offers a wide range of opportunities for cooperation with theoretical and experimental research groups.
The applicant should have very a good knowledge of optimal-control methods and quantum technologies.
TVL E13 doctoral position, fixed-term, until the end of 2026. Start at the earliest possible date.
