Your tasks will be:
- Literature research and understanding of ITS secure processing and provision of random numbers especially in the quantum communication context
- Solution oriented working bringing in line requirements, hardware and software for the FPGA-based processing
- Design, implementation and test of algorithms directly on FPGA hardware with VHDL/Verilog and common SKDs
- Conduct statistical tests to verify the quality of random numbers
- Active participation in space-based missions to secure European data communications
Your skills are:
- Student in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or similar fields
- Practical experience in FPGA-based programming, testing and debugging
- Practical experience with VHDL/Verilog and common SDKs
- Familiar with statistical methods, ideally in the context of randomness
- High motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibility
